You’ve been looking online, and found the things you like and don’t like, and what you “must have” in your first home. You’re ready to go buy!
No! First, the very first thing, check with a Realtor! They will guide you through the process, letting you know what to expect, and when to expect it!
They will tell you to first meet with or go online with a Mortgage professional to discover for what amount you qualify!
This helps so much when you begin your search. I’ve had people tell me they “know” what they can buy, and so we searched and found the perfect home, only to find out they didn’t qualify!! Trust the guidance of a professional. They are not out there to “get” you, only to help! Interview 2 or 3 Mortgage Bankers to see whose programs are best for you! Every lender is not the same! You are in the driver’s seat at this stage of the game. Take the time now to compare all the parts of the loan. Then when you find the right house, that part of the stress will be over and you can concentrate on fun things like where the furniture will go!
Trust their years of experience, and they will make it as painless as possible for you!
